On the previous day, a meeting of Journalists Welfare Fund was organized in the secretariat under the chairmanship of CM Dhami.

In the meeting, an amount of Rs 36 lakh was approved for journalist dependents and seriously ill journalists from the Journalists Welfare Fund. CM Dhami said that Rs 02 crore will be increased in the journalist welfare fund. Along with naming the pension given to journalists as Chief Minister's Journalist Pension Scheme, its manual will also be simplified.
