सोभन सिंह जीना विश्वविद्यालय अल्मोड़ा ने स्थानीय उत्पादों और महिला स्वयं सहायता समूहों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए नई पहल शुरू की है, जिसके तहत सभी कार्यक्रमों में अतिथियों का स्वागत अब स्थानीय शॉल, वस्त्र और महिला समूहों द्वारा बनाए गए उत्पादों से किया जाएगा। विश्वविद्यालय का कहना है कि यह कदम वोकल फॉर लोकल अभियान को मजबूत करेगा।
