बीते दिन गुमटी इंडियन ऑयल डिपो बैंड के पास मुख्य हाईवे पर  हल्द्वानी से बरेली जा रही कार एक डंपर से टकराकर अनियंत्रित होकर पलटकर रोड़ के नीचे जा गिरी। मौके पर मौजूद ’पेट्रोलिंग पुलिस वाहन 112 में तैनात जीतेन्द्र सिंह व तरुण मेहता के द्वारा स्थानीय लोगो’ की मदद से कार में बैठे यात्रियों को सकुशल बाहर निकाला गया तथा व्यक्तियों की जान बचाई जा सकी।  

लालकुंआ क्षेत्र में घटित सड़क दुर्घटना में नैनीताल पुलिस व स्थानीय जनता बनके आए फरिश्ता 

Last day, the car going from Haldwani to Bareilly collided with a dumper on the main highway near Gumti Indian Oil Depot band and overturned and fell under the road. With the help of local people by Jitendra Singh and Tarun Mehta posted in 'Patrolling Police Vehicle 112' present on the spot, the passengers sitting in the car were pulled out safely and the lives of the persons could be saved.
