जानकारी के अनुसार, देहरादून के विकासनगर में बढ़ती ठंड और घने कोहरे को देखते हुए नगर पालिका ने शहर के प्रमुख चौराहों व भीड़भाड़ वाले इलाकों में अलाव जलाने की व्यवस्था की है, ताकि रात में राहगीरों, दुकानदारों और ड्यूटी पर तैनात पुलिसकर्मियों को ठंड से राहत मिल सके। साथ ही जरूरतमंद लोगों को गर्म कपड़े और कंबल भी वितरित किए जा रहे हैं।
