Mine accident in Sonbhadra, rescue operation underway

In Uttar Pradesh’s Sonbhadra district, a large portion of a hill collapsed during blasting at the Billi Markundi mine, and several workers are feared to be trapped under the debris. According to reports, one body has been recovered so far, while efforts are underway to remove a 70–75 ton rock obstructing the rescue.
