Meteorological Department issued a heavy rain alert

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain at isolated places in the state till August 30. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be heavy to very heavy rains at isolated places in Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Nainital, Champawat, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh districts on 28. Due to heavy rains, there may be incidents of landslides as well as the increase in the water level in the rivers.
