जानकारी के अनुसार, मेघालय के पूर्वी जयंतिया हिल्स जिले में अवैध कोयला खदान में हुए भीषण विस्फोट में कम से कम 18 मजदूरों की मौत हो गई है, जबकि कई अन्य के फंसे होने की आशंका है। बताया गया कि यह हादसा गुरुवार सुबह काम के दौरान हुआ, जिससे इलाके में अफरा-तफरी मच गई। वहीं, हादसे के बाद राहत और बचाव कार्य जारी है।
