जानकारी के अनुसार, हरिद्वार के इकबालपुर क्षेत्र में अवैध खनन से जुड़े एक ऑडियो के वायरल होने के बाद सरकार ने सख्त कार्रवाई की है। बताया गया कि मुख्यमंत्री के निर्देश पर इकबालपुर पुलिस चौकी के प्रभारी समेत पूरे स्टाफ को निलंबित कर दिया गया है, जबकि मामले की निष्पक्ष जांच के लिए जांच एसपी देहात को सौंपी गई है।
