हरिद्वार में एक कांवडिये की गंगा ब्रिज पर चढने की सूचना पर तत्काल फायर सर्विस रूडकी ने मौके पर पहुंचकर रेस्क्यू अभियान चलाया। फायर कर्मियों ने बिना देरी किये पुल के ऊपर चढकर उक्त व्यक्ति को समझा बूझाकर किसी तरह पकड़कर नीचे उतारा। व्यक्ति मानसिक रूप से भी कमजोर लग रहा था, जिसको मौके पर थाना सिविल लाईन कोतवाली के सुपुर्द किया।

On receiving information about a Kanwadia climbing the Ganga Bridge in Haridwar, Roorkee Fire Service immediately reached the spot and started a rescue operation. Without any delay, the fire personnel climbed the bridge and somehow caught hold of the person and brought him down. The person also seemed mentally weak, and was handed over to the Civil Lines Police Station on the spot.
