भारतीय रेलवे ने बनारस लोकोमोटिव वर्क्स में देश का पहला 70 मीटर लंबा रिमूवेबल सोलर पैनल सिस्टम लगाया है। 28 पैनलों से बना 15 किलोवॉट का यह यूनिट रोज़ाना 67 से 80 यूनिट बिजली पैदा करेगा। रेलवे ने इसे हरित व टिकाऊ परिवहन की दिशा में अहम कदम बताया है।

Indian Railways has installed the country’s first 70-meter-long removable solar panel system at Banaras Locomotive Works. The 15-kilowatt unit, comprising 28 panels, will generate 67 to 80 units of electricity daily. Railways has described it as a significant step towards green and sustainable transportation.
