The India Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for Konkan-Goa and an orange alert for Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat, western Madhya Pradesh, and Telangana for the next 24 hours. Heavy rainfall is also likely to cause waterlogging in low-lying areas and disrupt traffic.
