टिहरी क्षेत्र में देश का पहला वेरिएबल पंप स्टोरेज प्लांट (पीएसपी) लगभग तैयार हो गया है। 1000 मेगावाट क्षमता वाली इस परियोजना की दो यूनिटें पहले ही राष्ट्रीय ग्रिड से जुड़कर बिजली उत्पादन कर रही हैं, जबकि अन्य दो यूनिटें अंतिम चरण में हैं। बताया जा रहा है कि इन दो यूनिटों से टीएचडीसी को प्रतिदिन करीब ₹1 करोड़ का राजस्व प्राप्त हो रहा है।

India’s first variable Pump Storage Plant (PSP) in Uttarakhand’s Tehri region is almost complete. Two of its four units, part of the 1000 MW project, are already generating power after joining the national grid. Reports suggest that these two operational units are providing THDC with a daily revenue of around ₹1 crore.
