Helmet now mandatory for back-seat riders on two-wheelers in Uttarakhand

According to reports, the Uttarakhand Transport Department has started strictly enforcing helmet rules for back-seat riders on two-wheelers as well. Now, if a person aged 4 yrs or above sitting on the back seat is found without a helmet, a challan will be issued against the rider, and their DL can be suspended for three months.
