Heatwave grips several parts of the country

According to the India Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature across the country in the past 24 hours ranged between 36 to 42 degrees Celsius, while in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh it exceeded 42 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature of 45.1 degrees Celsius was recorded in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan.
