पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री हरीश रावत लालकुंआ से होते हुए गुजर रहे थे। इसी दौरान वो बरेली रोड़ पर पहुंचे। हरीश रावत ने रोड़ की खराब हालत को देखकर मौके पर ही अपनी गाड़ी रूकवा दी और गाड़ी से उतर कर सड़क पर एक गढ्ढे के पास अपना मोढ़ा रखा और वहीं धरने पर बैठ गए। इस दौरान हरीश रावत ने मांग की है कि नेशनल हाईवे ऑथोरटी इस मार्ग की मरम्मत करे और लोगों को राहत दे।

Former Chief Minister Harish Rawat was passing through Lalkua. Meanwhile, he reached Bareilly Road. Harish Rawat, seeing the bad condition of the road, stopped his car on the spot and got down from the car,  and sat on the dharna there. During this, Harish Rawat has demanded that the National Highway Authority should repair this route and give relief to the people.
