जानकारी के अनुसार, अल्मोड़ा के कसार देवी में भारतीय और फ्रांसीसी संस्कृति का अनोखा संगम देखने को मिला, जब फ्रांस से आई बारात के बीच एक स्थानीय युवती ने फ्रांसीसी युवक संग हिंदू रीति-रिवाजों से विवाह किया। बताया गया कि ढोल-दमाऊं व वैदिक मंत्रोच्चार के साथ संपन्न इस विवाह में फ्रांस से आए 25 से अधिक मेहमान भी भारतीय वेशभूषा में नजर आए।

According to reports, a unique blend of Indian and French cultures was witnessed at Kasar Devi in Almora when a local woman married a French man in a traditional Hindu ceremony amid a wedding procession that arrived from France.
