Government is taking these steps to promote herbal production in the state

The government has intensified efforts to promote herbal production in the forest panchayats of the state. In this context, a meeting was held with the concerned departments under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Dr. S.S. Sandhu. The CS said that instead of expanding the area of Forest Panchayats, priority should be given to willing Forest Panchayats, this has more chances of success. He also directed to focus on small and big value-addition units.
