Ghrit Kamal Pujan at Jageshwar Dham, Uttarakhand, “Ghee Cave” built with 251 kg ghee

According to report, at the Jageshwar Dham in Almora, the Ghrit Kamal pujan was performed today on Makar Sankranti as per a centuries-old tradition. It was reported that amid Vedic chanting, a “ghee cave” was created for Lord Jageshwar Mahadev using 251 kg of pure cow ghee, and the Shivling was ceremonially placed in the Ghrit Kamal.
