जानकारी के अनुसार, उत्तराखंड के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री और पूर्व राज्यपाल रहे भगत सिंह कोश्यारी को पद्म भूषण सम्मान के लिए चुना गया है, जिसके बाद उन्होंने राष्ट्रपति और प्रधानमंत्री का आभार जताते हुए इस सम्मान को जनता को समर्पित किया। वहीं बागेश्वर के मूल निवासी हिंदी साहित्यकार और पत्रकार कैलाश चंद्र पंत को पद्मश्री सम्मान मिला है।

According to report, Bhagat Singh Koshyari, former CM of Uttarakhand and former Governor, has been selected for the Padma Bhushan award. He thanked the President and the PM and dedicated the honour to the people. Meanwhile, Kailash Chandra Pant, a Hindi litterateur/ journalist originally from Bageshwar, has received the Padma Shri award.
