हल्द्वानी से काशीपुर की ओर जाते समय बाजपुर में पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री हरीश रावत की कार डिवाइडर से टकराकर हादसे का शिकार हो गई थी। हादसे में हरीश रावत समेत तीन लोग घायल हुए थे। मंगलवार देर रात हुए हादसे के बाद उन्हें काशीपुर के ही प्राइवेट अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया था। लेकिन बुधवार देर शाम चिकित्सकों की टीम ने चेकअप के बाद उन्हें और दो अन्य घायलों को जौलीग्रांट के हिमालयन अस्पताल में भर्ती करा दिया है। जानकारी के अनुसार चिकित्सकों ने बताया कि उनकी कमर और गर्दन में चोट आई है।
