Forest fires in several areas of Almora, a vehicle also caught in the blaze

According to report, forest fires have broken out in several zones across Almora district, including Simola, Kasar Devi, Someshwar and late Sunday night, a vehicle parked by the roadside in Someshwar was also caught in the blaze. Officials said the surge is due to lack of rainfall and warned strict action against deliberate fire-setters.
