लगातार बारिश से पंजाब में बाढ़ जैसे हालात बन गए हैं, जिसके चलते हजारों एकड़ फसलें डूब गईं और कई गांवों का संपर्क पूरी तरह टूट गया है। स्थिति की गंभीरता को देखते हुए सेना और एनडीआरएफ ने राहत-बचाव अभियान तेज कर दिया है। वहीं, सरकार ने सभी अधिकारियों की छुट्टियां रद्द कर केंद्र से अतिरिक्त मदद मांगी है।
