खबर के अनुसार, उत्तराखण्ड के बागेश्वर जिले के कपकोट क्षेत्र में आपदा प्रबंधन की तैयारियों को मजबूत करने के लिए भूकंप पर आधारित मॉक ड्रिल आयोजित की गई, जिसमें चार घरों के प्रभावित होने और कई लोगों के घायल होने की स्थिति बनाई गई। वहीं, प्रशासन, पुलिस, एसडीआरएफ और अन्य विभागों ने मिलकर रेस्क्यू व राहत कार्यों का सफल अभ्यास किया।
