Doors of Hemkund Sahib will close for the winter on October 10

The sacred pilgrimage site Hemkund Sahib in Chamoli district will close its doors for the winter on October 10. Since the opening on May 25 this year, more than 2.68 lakh devotees have visited. On the day of closure, special performances will be presented by the Army and a band from Punjab.
