राज्यपाल लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल गुरमीत सिंह (से नि) से शनिवार को राजभवन में असम राइफल्स के महानिदेशक, लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल प्रदीप चंद्रन नायर ने शिष्टाचार भेंट की। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने राज्यपाल से असम राइफल्स से जुड़े विभिन्न विषयों पर चर्चा की। महानिदेशक ने बताया कि उत्तराखंड से असम राइफल में लगभग 6 हजार जवान अपनी सेवाएं दे रहे हैं, वहीं लगभग 14 हजार पूर्व सैनिक हैं। असम राइफल्स में 10 प्रतिशत जवानों की संख्या उत्तराखंड से है जो की यहां के लिए गर्व की बात है।

The Director General, Assam Rifles, Lt Gen Pradeep Chandran Nair met Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) at Raj Bhavan on Saturday. On this occasion, he discussed various issues related to Assam Rifles with the Governor. The Director General said that about 6,000 jawans are serving in the Assam Rifles from Uttarakhand, while there are about 14,000 ex-servicemen. 10 percent of the jawans in the Assam Rifles are from Uttarakhand, which is a matter of pride for here.
