Demand grows to extend the Rishikesh–Karnaprayag rail line up to Bageshwar

According to reports, the demand to extend the Rishikesh–Karnaprayag rail line via Garud up to Bageshwar has gained momentum again in Bageshwar district. On Friday, locals held a meeting and formed a “Rail Line Struggle Committee,” and people say that the rail extension will benefit the Katyur Valley and tourist areas like Kausani.
