मुख्य सचिव डॉ. एस.एस. संधु ने सचिवालय में पर्यटन विभाग के अधिकारियों के साथ बैठक करते हुए कहा कि उत्तराखण्ड भौगोलिक दृष्टिकोण से जलक्रीड़ा और हवाई क्रीड़ाओं के लिए अत्यधिक उपयुक्त है, जो रोजगार सृजन में महत्त्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा सकता है। मुख्य सचिव ने कहा कि पौड़ी के रांसी स्टेडियम सहित पिथौरागढ़ और टिहरी में अत्यधिक ऊंचाई में स्थित खेल के मैदानों को हाई एल्टीट्यूड ट्रेनिंग ग्राउंड के रूप में विकसित किया जाए।

In a meeting with officials of the tourism department, Chief Secretary Dr. S.S. Sandhu said that Uttarakhand is geographically very suitable for water sports and air sports, which can play an important role in employment generation. The CS said that the high altitude playgrounds in Pithoragarh and Tehri including Pauri's Ransi Stadium should be developed as high altitude training grounds.
