मुख्य सचिव डॉ. एस.एस. संधु ने बीते दिन सचिवालय में प्रदेश में ईको टूरिज्म को लेकर बैठक लेते हुए कहा कि प्रदेश का 72 प्रतिशत भू-भाग वन क्षेत्र होने के कारण ईको टूरिज्म की अत्यधिक संभावनाएं हैं। वन क्षेत्र में विभिन्न ऐसी गतिविधियां हैं, जो रोजगार सृजन में बेहद अहम है। मुख्य सचिव ने कहा कि ईको टूरिज्म को बढ़ावा देने हेतु राज्य और जनपद स्तरीय समितियों का गठन किया जा रहा है।

Taking a meeting on eco-tourism in the state at the secretariat, Chief Secretary Dr. S.S.  Sandhu said that there is immense potential for eco-tourism as 72 percent of the state's land is forest area. There are various such activities in the forest sector, which are very important in employment generation. The CS said that state and district-level committees are being formed to promote eco-tourism.
