Complete ban on new mining leases in Aravalli, government takes major step

According to information, the central government has imposed a complete ban on any new mining leases across the Aravalli range from Delhi to Gujarat to curb illegal mining. Environment Ministry has issued directions to all concerned states regarding this, and asked for the identification of additional areas where mining should be ban.
