सीएम धामी ने नई दिल्ली में केंद्रीय वित्त मंत्री श्रीमती निर्मला सीतारमण से शिष्टाचार भेंट कर सौंग बांध पेयजल परियोजना हेतु ₹1774 करोड़ की धनराशि का वित्त पोषण भारत सरकार के पूंजीगत व्यय हेतु विशेष सहायता के अन्तर्गत कराने का अनुरोध किया। उन्होंने कहा कि परियोजना के निर्माण से 150 एम.एल.डी. पेयजल ‘गुरुत्व’ के माध्यम से देहरादून नगर व इसके उपनगरीय क्षेत्रों के लगभग 10 लाख आबादी को पेयजल उपलब्ध होगा।

CM Dhami paid a courtesy visit to the Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitaraman in New Delhi and requested for funding of ₹ 1774 crore for the Song Dam drinking water project under the special assistance for capital expenditure of the Government of India. He said that with the construction of the project, 150 M.L.D. drinking water will be available to about 10 lakh population of Dehradun city and its suburban areas through 'Gurutva'.
