सीएम धामी ने नई दिल्ली में रक्षा मंत्री श्री राजनाथ सिंह से शिष्टाचार भेंट की और उनसे रानीखेत और लैंसडाउन में छावनी बोर्डों को भंग करने और सैन्य स्टेशनों से बाहर के क्षेत्रों को राज्य प्रशासन को हस्तांतरित करने का अनुरोध किया। सीएम ने हिमाचल प्रदेश के योल में छावनी बोर्डों को भंग करने और छावनियों के नागरिक क्षेत्रों को नगर पालिकाओं के साथ विलय करने और छावनियों को सैन्य स्टेशनों के रूप में फिर से नामित करने के निर्णय का स्वागत किया।

CM Dhami met Defense Minister Shri Rajnath Singh in New Delhi and requested him to disband the Cantonment Boards in Ranikhet and Lansdowne and transfer the areas outside the military stations to the State Administration. The CM welcomed the decision to dissolve the Cantonment Boards in Yol, Himachal Pradesh and merge the civil areas of the Cantonments with the Municipalities and re-designate the Cantonments as Military Stations.
