मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने उत्तराखंड राज्य स्थापना की रजत जयंती वर्ष के अवसर पर रामनगर में राज्य स्तरीय जन-वन महोत्सव का शुभारंभ किया। उन्होंने 1973 के चिपको आंदोलन का उल्लेख करते हुए कहा कि उत्तराखंड की महिलाओं ने पेड़ों से लिपटकर जो संदेश दिया, उसने विश्वभर में पर्यावरण संरक्षण को नई दिशा दी।

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the state-level 'Jan-Van Mahotsav' in Ramnagar on the occasion of Uttarakhand’s Silver Jubilee of statehood. Recalling the 1973 Chipko Movement, he said that the message of Uttarakhand’s women, who hugged trees to protect them, gave a new direction to environmental conservation worldwide.
