Child dies in Rajasthan after consuming cough syrup

In Sikar, Rajasthan, a child died after consuming cough syrup provided under the free medicine scheme, while three other children are reported to be ill. The family said the child only had a mild cough. Meanwhile, the Drug Controller has launched an investigation and sent samples of the medicine to the lab for testing.
