मुख्य सचिव डॉ0 एस. एस. संधु ने बुधवार को सचिवालय में प्रदेश में एयर कनेक्टिविटी को बढ़ाये जाने के साथ ही हैलीपैड्स और हेलीपोर्ट्स के निर्माण की प्रगति की समीक्षा की। मुख्य सचिव ने अधिकारियों को पूरे प्रदेश में अधिक से अधिक हेलीपैड बनाए जाने के निर्देश देते हुए कहा कि इनसे प्रदेश के दूरस्थ क्षेत्रों को आपातकालीन परिस्थितियों में बहुत मदद मिलेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि जौलीग्रांट एयरपोर्ट को अंतरराष्ट्रीय बनाए जाने हेतु तेज़ी से प्रयास किए जाएं।

Chief Secretary Dr. S. S. Sandhu reviewed the progress of the construction of helipads and heliports along with increasing air connectivity in the state at the Secretariat on Wednesday. While directing the officials to build more and more helipads in the entire state, the CS said that these would be of great help to the remote areas of the state in emergencies. He said that efforts should be made rapidly to make Jolly Grant Airport international.
