मुख्य सचिव डॉ0 एस. एस. संधु ने सचिवालय में पूँजी निवेश हेतु राज्यों को विशेष सहायता योजना 2023-24 के तहत किए जा रहे कार्यों की समीक्षा की। उन्होंने कार्यों में तेज़ी लाने के लिए सप्ताह में 2 बार बैठक कर समीक्षा किए जाने के निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने प्रदेश में पुस्तकालयों के निर्माण पर अधिकारियों को शीघ्र कार्य करने के निर्देश दिए। मुख्य सचिव ने कहा कि विद्यालयों के पुस्तकालयों को मजबूत किया जाए। साथ ही जहां पुस्तकालय उपलब्ध नहीं है वहाँ नए पुस्तकालय तैयार किए जाएँ।

Chief Secretary Dr. S. S. Sandhu reviewed the work being done in the Secretariat under the Special Assistance Scheme 2023-24 to the states for capital investment. He gave instructions to review the work by meeting twice a week to speed up the work. He instructed the officials to expeditiously work on the construction of libraries in the state. The CS said that school libraries should be strengthened. Also, where libraries are not available, new libraries should be created.
