मुख्य सचिव श्रीमती राधा रतूड़ी ने सचिवालय में आयोजित सौंग बांध की ईएफसी के दौरान सिंचाई विभाग तथा कार्यदायी संस्था यूपीडीसीसी लि0 को सौंग बांध परियोजना की प्रोसिजर क्लियरेन्स कार्यों में देरी पर सख्त नाराजगी व्यक्त करते हुए संबंधित कार्यवाही को जल्द पूरा करने के कड़े निर्देश दिए। व्यय वित्त समिति के दौरान मुख्य सचिव ने कहा कि देहरादून शहर में जलापूर्ति की कमी के कारण भविष्य की आवश्यकताओं को ध्यान में रखते हुए पेयजल के उद्देश्य से सौंग बांध अत्यन्त महत्वपूर्ण प्रोजेक्ट है।

During the EFC of Saung Dam held at the Secretariat, Chief Secretary Mrs. Radha Raturi expressed her strong displeasure over the delay in the procedure clearance works of the Saung Dam Project and gave strict instructions to the Irrigation Department and the executing agency UPDCC Ltd. to complete the related proceedings soon. The CS said that Saung Dam is a very important project to drink water keeping in mind the future requirements due to the lack of water supply in Dehradun city.
