मुख्य सचिव डॉ. एस.एस. संधु ने बीते दिन सचिवालय में ईको टूरिज्म को बढ़ावा देने हेतु नैनीताल, पौड़ी, अल्मोड़ा, टिहरी और चमोली के जिलाधिकारियों और डीएफओ के साथ बैठक करते हुए कहा कि ईको टूरिज्म में अधिक से अधिक रोजगार सृजन की संभावनाएं हैं। मुख्य सचिव ने कहा कि फॉरेस्ट अधिकारियों को नियामक मानसिकता से बाहर निकल कर बिना पर्यावरण और वन को नुकसान पहुंचाए प्रदेश के विकास में अपनी भागीदारी निभानी होगी।

Chief Secretary Dr. S.S. Sandhu, while holding a meeting with District Magistrates and DFOs of Nainital, Pauri, Almora, Tehri, and Chamoli to promote eco-tourism at the Secretariat, said that eco-tourism has possibilities of maximum employment generation. The CS said that the forest officers will have to get out of the regulatory mindset and play their part in the development of the state without harming the environment and forests.
