गोपेश्वर वॉलीबॉल छात्रावास के रफीक अहमद ने थाईलैंड में आयोजित अंडर-16 एशियन वॉलीबॉल चैंपियनशिप में भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हुए कांस्य पदक जीता। वापसी पर जिला खेल विभाग चमोली द्वारा उनका सम्मान किया गया। रफीक हाल ही में नेशनल सेंटर ऑफ एक्सीलेंस, बेंगलुरु के लिए चयनित हुए हैं।

Rafiq Ahmad from Gopeshwar Volleyball Hostel represented India in the Under-16 Asian Volleyball Championship held in Thailand and won a bronze medal. On his return, he was felicitated by the Chamoli District Sports Department. Rafiq was recently selected for the National Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.
