देश में जनगणना प्रक्रिया की औपचारिक शुरुआत हो गई है, जो दो चरणों में 2027 तक पूरी की जाएगी। इस बार जातिगत जनगणना भी की जाएगी। पहले चरण में मकानों की जानकारी और दूसरे चरण में व्यक्तियों से जुड़ा सामाजिक-आर्थिक डेटा जुटाया जाएगा। पहाड़ी क्षेत्रों में प्रक्रिया अक्टूबर 2026 से शुरू होगी।

The official census process has begun in the country and will be completed in two phases by 2027. This time, a caste-based census will also be conducted. The first phase will collect information about households, while the second phase will gather socio-economic data of individuals. In hilly regions, the process will start in Oct 2026.
