बीते दिन कैबिनेट मंत्री सतपाल महाराज ने मानसून सीजन के दृष्टिगत प्रमुख अभियंता कार्यालय, यमुना कॉलोनी स्थित भवन में विभाग की तैयारियों की समीक्षा बैठक ली। उन्होंने पहाड़ी क्षेत्रों में भारी वर्षा के कारण क्षतिग्रस्त सड़कों की स्थिति का आंकलन करने और भूस्खलन से अवरुद्ध सड़कों से मलबा हटाने के प्रबंधन की जानकारी लेते हुए विभागीय अधिकारियों को जरूरी दिशा निर्देश दिए। भारी वर्षा व भूस्खलन के कारण अवरुद्ध 179 सड़कों में से अभी तक 52 सड़कों को यातायात के लिए खोल दिया गया है।

Last day, Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj took a review meeting of the department's preparations in view of the monsoon season at the Chief Engineer's Office, building located in Yamuna Colony. He gave necessary guidelines to the departmental officers after assessing the condition of the roads damaged due to heavy rains in the hilly areas and taking information about the management of debris from the roads blocked by landslides. Out of 179 roads blocked due to heavy rains and landslides, 52 roads have been opened for traffic so far.
