राजकीय पशु चिकित्सालय, मासी जनपद अल्मोड़ा के अंतर्गत आने वाले ग्राम खनूली में पशुपालक श्री दिनेश चंद्र की भैंस काफ़ी समय से टेल गैंग्रीन नामक पूंछ के रोग के कारण दर्द इत्यादि परेशानियों से जूझ रही थी। पशुचिकित्साधिकारी, मासी डॉ. मणि मेहरा द्वारा तुरंत पशु के समक्ष पहुंचकर पीड़ित पशु की सफल शल्य चिकित्सा व अन्य उपचार किया गया। इस प्रकार पीड़ित भैंस की लंबे समय से चली आ रही परेशानी से निजात दिलवाया व पशुपालक को पशुधन हानि से भी बचाया।
