Bird Flu alert in Uttarakhand, surveillance increased in protected areas

Amid concerns over a possible bird flu outbreak in Uttarakhand, the Forest Department has issued an alert. Although no animal infections have been reported so far, surveillance has been intensified in all zoos and protected areas as a precaution.
