Beekeeping has become a new source of income for farmers in Uttarakhand
In Uttarakhand's Chamoli district, the state government's Beekeeping Scheme has significantly increased farmers' income. Now, 505 farmers are producing nearly ₹3 crore worth of honey annually through beekeeping. Farmers are selling honey at ₹1200 per kilogram without any middlemen, boosting rural self-reliance and entrepreneurship.
