अल्मोड़ा पुलिस की थाना सोमेश्वर टीम कौसानी के पास चेकिंग कर रही थी, इस दौरान एक कैंटर चालक खेम उर्फ पप्पू शराब के नशे में मदहोश होकर खतरनाक तरीके से कैंटर को चला रहा था। जिसे मोटरवाहन अधिनियम के तहत गिरफ्तार कर वाहन को सीज किया गया। कैंटर में परचून का सामान भरा हुआ था, जो हल्द्वानी से बागेश्वर की ओर जा रहा था।
