जानकारी के अनुसार, अल्मोड़ा के कलाकार धीरेंद्र पांडे चीड़ के पेड़ की छाल पर अनोखी चित्रकला बनाकर स्थानीय कला को नई पहचान दे रहे हैं। बताया गया कि वे 2-4 दिन में एक कृति तैयार करते हैं और स्कूलों में बच्चों को इसका प्रशिक्षण देकर इसे रोजगार का माध्यम बनाने के लिए प्रेरित कर रहे हैं।
