Accused arrested with five boxes of illegal English liquor

On 19.08.2022, during the checking on Pokhari-Gopeshwar road by the police station Pokhari, an accused Digambar Lal, 32 years old resident of village Dhargaon Ustoli Post Nandanagar Kotwali Chamoli was arrested while smuggling 05 boxes of illegal English liquor Chandigarh brand Royal General whiskey in an Alto car. A case was registered against the accused under the 60/72 Excise Act at Pokhari police station and the vehicle used for transporting liquor was also seized.
