आगामी बकरीद त्यौहार को सकुशल व सौहार्द के साथ सम्पन्न कराने के लिए चमोली पुलिस ने अपनी तैयारियां पूरी कर ली हैं। जनपद के विभिन्न थानों में क्षेत्रान्तर्गत मौलवियों, धर्मगुरुओं, संभ्रांत व्यक्तियों के साथ गोष्ठी आयोजित कर उन्हें इस त्यौहार को शांतिपूर्ण, आपसी भाईचारे व सौहार्दपूर्ण तरीक़े से मनाने व अफवाहों पर ध्यान ने देने तथा अफवाहों को फैलाने से रोकने आदि के सम्बंध में आमजन को जागरूक व पालन करने हेतु अपील की गयी।
