A meeting of the Expenditure Finance Committee was organized in the secretariat on the previous day under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Dr. S. S. Sandhu. Instructing the preparation of master plans for entire cities for drinking water schemes, the CS said that a mechanism should be developed to keep the sources stable in drinking water schemes. He also directed to ensure provision of connections etc. under the Song Dam gravity-based scheme to be started in future in the water supply scheme of Ladpur area in Dehradun district.
