उत्तराखंड के चमोली जिले के बणद्वार गांव में पंचायत चुनाव के दौरान 23 वर्षीय नितिन नेगी टॉस जीतकर ग्राम प्रधान बने। नितिन और उनके प्रतिद्वंदी को 138-138 वोट मिले, जिसके बाद टाई की स्थिति में टॉस का सहारा लिया गया। वर्तमान में वह गोपेश्वर पीजी कॉलेज से एमए की पढ़ाई कर रहे हैं और छात्रसंघ के महासचिव भी रह चुके हैं।

During the panchayat elections in Bardwar village of Chamoli district, 23-year-old Nitin Negi became the village head by winning a coin toss. Both Nitin and his opponent received 138 votes each, leading to a tie that was resolved through a toss. Nitin is currently pursuing an MA from Gopeshwar PG College.
