चंपावत के प्रसिद्ध धाम मां पूर्णागिरि धाम के मुख्य मंदिर के 100 मीटर के दायरे को जीरो जोन बनाया गया है। जीरो जोन बनाए जाने के बाद इस क्षेत्र के अंतर्गत सिर्फ पूजा-अर्चना और धार्मिक गतिविधियां ही की जा सकेंगी। मेला मजिस्ट्रेट टनकपुर के एसडीएम सुंदर सिंह द्वारा इसके लिए आदेश जारी कर दिए गए हैं। जानकारी के मुताबिक धाम में लगातार तीर्थ यात्रियों की संख्या बढ़ रही है। जिस कारण जाम लगने से लोगों को असुविधा हो रही है। इसी के चलते ये फैसला लिया गया है।
